Rites of Spring

Bah, humbug to Old Man Winter

Margo Oxendine

I don’t know about you, but am I ever glad spring is almost here. The calendar says March; let’s hope the skies and the weather gods pay attention. Deadlines being what they are, I must write this in January. We all remember January, right? How could we forget? There was snow, and more snow, followed by ice and more ice. There was much shoveling to do. And a lot of scary driving.

One thing about driving in the snow is, you can be as cautious as you like, but there are still other cars and trucks on the road. And not all of them are good or careful drivers. You can be hit at any time, through no fault of your own.
