ARTfactory, 9419 Battle St, Manassas, VA 20110, USA

Visiting Mr. Green is a touching and humorous stage play by Jeff Baron that explores the power of human connection across generations and cultures. When young executive Ross Gardiner nearly hits 86-year-old widower Mr. Green with his car, he’s sentenced by the court to spend six months visiting the stubborn old man as community service. What begins as a tense, uncomfortable weekly obligation soon evolves into a surprising friendship, as the two men—divided by age, faith, and worldview—uncover shared pain, hidden secrets, and the healing that comes from empathy and understanding. Filled with sharp dialogue, laughter, and heartfelt emotion, Visiting Mr. Green is a story about forgiveness, acceptance, and the transformative impact of simply showing up for someone else.
The play will be performed in an intimate in-the-round setting. Performances are held in the Wind River Theatre at the ARTfactory.
Visiting Mr. Green was originally produced on the New York Stage by Arnold Mittleman. The play was previously produced at the Coconut Grove Playhouse, Miami, Florida. Visiting Mr. Green was originally produced by the Berkshire Theatre Festival, Arthur Storch, Artistic Director; Kate Maguire, Managing Director.
Actors Theatre at the ARTfactory offers free or discounted tickets to students and educators on some performances, including Visiting Mr. Green. Please contact us at 703-330-2787 for more information.
