    Event Description:  Join the 7th Virginia Regiment as they reenact PH’s appointmentto the 1st Virginia Regiment prior to his departure to take command inWilliamsburg! 

    It is September 1775 and Virginia’s counties in accordance withthe 3rd Virginia Convention’s instructions are recruiting to raise tworegiments of regular troops. In Hanover at Scotchtown, men are gathering anddrilling in preparation to march on Williamsburg. The 1st Virginia Regimentwill be under the command of Colonel Patrick Henry while Colonel WilliamWoodford will command the 2nd Virginia Regiment. Visit Scotchtown to be a partof this historic event!

  • VA German Shepherd 17th annual Golf Tournament & Silent Auction
    September 19, 2025  1:00 pm - September 20, 2025  7:30 pm
    456 Shadows Dr, Front Royal, VA 22630, USA

    This annual tournament includes a shotgun start for golfers at 1:00, followed by the included buffet dinner at approximately 6:15. Single golfers or foursomes welcome. Dogs will be present at the tournament and golfers will have photos taken with the dogs.

    Bonus holes and prizes for first-third place teams, longest drive, and closest to pin. Putting contest and 50/50 raffle.

    Silent auction runs all afternoon; bidders need not be present to win.

    This is VGSR's largest fundraiser of the year. All of our dogs are in foster homes throughout VA, and the tournament supports their vet and upkeep costs until they are adopted.
