A&N Electric hosted the first regional 811 Local Damage Prevention Meeting for the Eastern Shore area.
VA 811 representatives were on site and shared the latest information, promoted public awareness, and stressed safe excavations. They discussed new tools available, including the Virginia 811 Excavator Response Management Application (ERMA Virginia 811 app).
Area contractors who use 811 were contacted prior to the meeting and urged to attend.
The event was held at the Cooperative’s Tasley headquarters in mid-September. VA 811 plans to make the meeting a regular event.
